Laura Stevenson and the Cans arrive in Europe to begin their twenty-four date tour here at the lovely Lovelite. And look, they’re already wearing their autumn coats in anticipation of a golden autumn tour.
I’m going to quote myself here actually and yes, it does feel weird:
Full band folk-rock romps with violins and trumpets and all the rest to boot seem this Brooklyn bands’ speciality. Laura also excels when alone at the microphone pickin’ her geetar, echoes of other Laura’s in her voice…..Gibson, Cantrell….this lady is one to watch.
Having previously played here at Schokoladen in summer of last year in support of their debut album A Record, Laura and the Cans return with new album Sit Resist which has only received great reviews and rightly so.
